Privacy and security
Effective 9 August 2026
ISA Lens uses only the information needed to run and improve an ISA portfolio review. It does not need broker login details, bank details or information about your income, goals or personal circumstances.
Anonymous product analytics are collected only after you allow them.
You can delete your account and saved portfolio from the account panel.
Who is responsible for your data
ISA Lens is operated by SwiftLabs in the United Kingdom. For privacy questions or to exercise a data right, email hello@swiftlabs.dev.
What we collect and why
Your email address is normalised and hashed for account lookup; only a masked version is kept for display. Your password is salted and hashed. We use these details to create, protect and reopen your account. The lawful basis is performance of our service contract.
We store the names or tickers and values you enter when you choose to save a portfolio. These are needed to calculate exposure, coverage and overlap and to restore your recent reviews. The lawful basis is performance of our service contract.
We use coarse event counts, session identifiers, error categories and network information needed for rate limiting, fraud prevention and service reliability. Exact holdings and portfolio values are not placed in product analytics. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the service.
A specialist payment processor handles checkout and card information. ISA Lens receives payment status, product, customer and transaction references needed to provide access, handle refunds and keep financial records. ISA Lens does not receive or store your full card details. The lawful bases are performance of the purchase contract and legal obligation.
Ask ISA Lens generated explanations
An external AI service is contacted only when you press an Ask ISA Lens action that needs a generated explanation or source search. ISA Lens sends the structured portfolio facts needed for that answer, which can include holding labels, calculated percentages and the values you entered. Do not enter information you do not want included in that request.
Requests are configured not to store model responses. The AI supplier may retain limited safety records under its API data controls. ISA Lens calculations remain authoritative over generated wording. Contact us if you need the current supplier and transfer-safeguard details.
Optional analytics and ISA trends
The analytics banner lets you allow or refuse anonymous product analytics. Refusing does not stop the portfolio checker or account from working. If you separately opt into ISA trend statistics, ISA Lens keeps one pseudonymous, banded contribution for your latest saved portfolio. Public trend figures remain hidden until minimum sample thresholds are met and never show an individual portfolio.
Browser storage and cookies
An essential, secure session cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser can also store the current portfolio, analytics choice, remaining free question state and a payment reference so a page can recover after a refresh. Stored paid access is rechecked with the server before it is accepted. You can clear browser storage in your browser settings.
Service providers and international transfers
ISA Lens uses hosting and storage services to run the application, a payment processor for checkout and an AI service for requested generated explanations or source searches. These suppliers act under their own terms and data protection commitments. Where personal data is processed outside the UK, we rely on an applicable legal transfer mechanism and supplier safeguards. We do not sell portfolio or account data.
How long information is kept
- Up to ten recent portfolio snapshots are kept while your account exists.
- Deleting the account removes the account, saved snapshots and its opted-in trend contribution from ISA Lens storage.
- Security, aggregate analytics and generated-answer usage records are kept only while reasonably needed to protect and measure the service.
- Payment and refund records may be kept for the period required by tax, accounting and fraud-prevention law.
- Browser-held data remains until the product or you remove it.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing and receive portable data. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email hello@swiftlabs.dev. We may need to confirm your identity before acting.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Please contact us first if you would like us to try to resolve the issue.
Security and age
ISA Lens uses access controls, hashed passwords, secure session cookies and data minimisation. No internet service is risk free, so do not enter broker passwords, API tokens, bank details or unnecessary personal information. ISA Lens is intended for people aged 18 or over.
